Customs brokerage
Every Alliance customs-brokerage member firm employs at least one Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) accountable for entries filed.
The practical scope of customs brokerage
- Entry filing. Type 01, 03, 06 and 11 entries through ABI/ACE.
- HTS classification. Working groups for the 2026 HTSUS tariff cycle and Section 301 exclusion tracking.
- PGA filings. FDA Prior Notice, EPA TSCA, USDA APHIS, FCC, DOT and CPSC certifications.
- Post-summary corrections. PSC and protest preparation, plus reconciliation for entries under FTA claims.
- CTPAT & trusted trader. Mentorship pairs for firms working toward Tier II validation.
The Alliance does not directly broker shipments. Instead, we maintain a peer network where licensed practitioners share documentation templates, regulatory updates and lessons learned — the kind of institutional knowledge that used to travel only between desks in the same office.

Common questions about customs brokerage
Does the Alliance certify brokers?
No. Broker licences are issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. We offer continuing-education credits accepted under the CBP Triennial requirement.
How do you handle Section 232 / 301 changes?
Our compliance bulletin tracks Federal Register notices and pushes plain-language summaries to members the same day.
Are remote-location filings supported?
Yes — the majority of members file under RLF authority.
